The successes we both have had in designing and building equipment to meet the special requirements of our customers has been very rewarding. I appreciate everything you have done to make this possible. The personal relationship we have developed has been very important and meaningful to me. I have very high regard for your analytical and problem solving ability in achieving an objective and creating solutions to problems.
Petersen® Inflatable Multi-Flex™ Pipe Plugs may be installed into a pressurized
pipeline with the Petersen® Hot Tap Pipe Plug Insertion System. This allows
for maintenance of pipelines without emptying the pipeline. There are two similar
Petersen® Hot Tap Pipe Plug Insertion Systems.
The optional Completion Valve is installed
between the hot tap sleeve and valve to allow the
valve to be removed after the project is completed.
Installed downstream of the hot tap. This allows the plug launching
system to also by-pass flow upstream of the Plug. See below for specific
information.
Built for much higher pressures than the 128 Series Plug but requires
a somewhat larger hot tap and inflates immediately below the hot tap.See
below for specific information.
Contact Petersen for specific suggestions for all your pipeline plugging
requirements. Petersen can provide mechanical and inflatable systems for
almost any size, pressure, chemical, and temperature requirements.
Warning: All pipe plugs must be blocked or anchored adequately against a force equal to the head pressure times the cross-sectional area of the pipe. Debris or protrusions in the pipeline can damage a seal or rupture inflatable plugs. NEVER use an inflatable plug when its failure could cause injury or catastrophic damage or as the only means of protection for personnel working downstream. NEVER use a test pressure greater than the capacity of the weakest pipe or component in the system. Note 1: Mechanical and Molded Rubber Plugs are generally used for testing because fabricated Multi-Flex style plugs may allow some seepage unless customized for a positive seal. Note 2: We are constantly upgrading our products and while we try to keep the websites up to date it is possible more current specifications may be on a quote or confirming order.
