FAQs

How do plumbing smoke bombs and emitters work?

They release visible smoke when ignited and used with a smoke blower. Leaks or defects in the system allow the smoke to escape, showing exactly where issues exist.

Are these products safe for residential use?

Yes. Both smoke bombs and emitters are designed for use in residential, commercial, and municipal systems without causing damage.

How long does a sewer smoke bomb/emitter burn?

Sewer smoke bombs/emitters have burn durations ranging from 30 seconds to 8 minutes. The ideal burn time is determined by the system's size and inspection requirements. For larger systems, a longer burn time or additional smoke bombs/emitters may be required.

Can I use plumbing smoke bombs/emitters on huge municipal projects?

Absolutely! Plumbing smoke bombs/emitters are suitable for both home and large-scale municipal plumbing systems. For large projects, additional smoke bombs/emitters or those with a larger CU FT production will provide comprehensive inspection coverage.

How to use Smoke Emitters?

To use smoke emitters, insert one into a compatible smoke blower and ignite it according to the manufacturer's instructions. The blower pushes the dense smoke through the plumbing system, allowing it to escape through leaks, cracks, or faulty connections. Always follow safety guidelines and ensure proper ventilation during use.
